Apples Galore!

Treat yourself to a fall afternoon picking apples on the Isle d’Orleans.  Just a 15 minute drive from Old Quebec brings you to this lovely agricultural island in the St. Lawrence river.  What a wonderful way to spend a sunny fall day in our belle provence!  A great activity for families and couples alike, I assure you, you won’t be disappointed.  I remember taking my first born to climb the short ladders, as he and his best friend would reach with those little hands out to pick a ripe plump red apple.  When tired of the task of filling the bag of apples, they would run freely through the orchards, laughing and screaming with joy.  The time passed so quickly.  Then we would go home, make some home-made apple sauce or pie, and of course, enjoy those apples as a daily snack for weeks to come.
