Ready, Set, and Let’s go Tubing at Carnaval!

Tubing Fun!

Without a doubt, one of my kid’s favorite Winter Carnaval activities is to go tubing down the groomed slopes at the Plaines of Abraham.  Fun for any age, it is just a short hike to the top of the hill, and then jump on.  This activity definitely brings out the inner child in everyone!  During Quebec City‘s winter Carnaval, the tubes are all furnished by the wonderful people at Village Vacances Valcartier.  In fact, if you enjoy this little taste of winter fun, why not spend a day full of tubing fun at their facility in Valcartier?  Just a 20 minute drive from Old Quebec, and I promise you, your kids will never forget the fun filled day.

Ok, now that was fun!

In fact, they will boast about this adventure for years to come.  It is not always easy to make everyone in the family happy when traveling, and of course, teen agers can be the toughest to please, but I guarantee that your kids will rave about the fun at Village Vacances Valcartier (even your teens)!  You will go home and share your stories of the magic of Quebec, but your kids will share the stories of the day of tubing.

Smiles galore and fun filled screams will be sure to set the mood of a perfect family winter vacation!  Sleds and tubes away!

That is a real smile from my teenager! Wow!

On a side note:  Should you decide to come after Winter Carnaval, the groomed tubing trails stay until the snow melts away.  Bring your sled and head up to the Plaines of Abraham for some great sledding fun!  It is just a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
