It’s Christmas in Quebec City!

Christmas Ice Skating at Place d'Youville

Christmas music is playing, children are laughing and lovers stroll the streets holding hands.  Without a doubt, Old Quebec is one of the most romantic places to spend this holiday.  The historic streets are lined with modest, but delightfully festive lights and decorations.  You are pretty much guaranteed a white Christmas here.  So my recommendation is to experience the charm and romance of a white Christmas in Quebec City.  Skate your hearts out at Place d’Youville, sled down the inside of the walled fortress at the Parc d’Esplinade,  shop in the small boutiques located on rue St. Jean, cross country ski on the Plaines of Abraham, and if you must, hop in your car to a nearby ski resort to spend a day of fabulous downhill skiing.  My kids are getting some new sleds this year, and without a doubt, Christmas day will be spent cascading down the hillside just across the street from the Manoir with family and friends, only to be followed by hot chocolate inside and then of course, ice skating down the street at Place d’Youville!
