It’s a parade!

What a treat Canada Day was this July 1, 2011! I know I am a bit late in posting this blog, but I want everyone to realize what a great event it is, and to plan on it for 2012. Beginning at noon, the Royal Canadian Army marched up rue d’Auteuil street on its way to the Citadel in Old Québec City. During this annual event, I was working in the reception of the hotel and quickly abandoned my post to see the parade at noon. With trumpets blazing and marching in unison, the Royal Red uniformed men and women of the 22nd Regiment treated the citizens and tourists of Quebec CityRoyal 22nd Regiment to a fabulous parade. This is a fantastic family event, so bring the kids! Happy belated July 1st and Happy Canada Day! Check out their web site for the 2012 schedule at: http://www.feteducanada-quebec.com
