Le Capitole – a great place for music and theatre!

ice skating across from Le Capitole

Le Capitole is one of Quebec City’s treasures.  This restored historic theatre is home to some of Quebec City’s finest concerts and theatre performances. Right in the heart of historic Québec City, this magnificent theatre has hosted nearly a century’s worth of the greatest in arts and entertainment. Once used mostly for cultural events, it has evolved into much more than a concert hall.  Experience this magical hall and be amazed by its majestic stairway and luxurious entry as you step back into time while enjoying a fabulous performance of today.   I have enjoyed three past productions:  Jesus Christ Superstar, The Comedy Show and the Elvis Story.  All three wonderful shows and this restored historical theatre was a fabulous venue to see them in.  To top it off, we just walk down rue d’Auteuil street from the Manoir, and there we are,  literally a few minute walk.  Here you see the exterior of the theatre and hotel lit up with Christmas lights and the skating rink at Place d’Youville.  When planning a trip to Quebec City, be sure to visit the Capitole’s web site to see concerts and performances showing at the time of your stay.  I assure you, you won’t be disappointed.
