For an authentic Quebec experience….Café St. Malo

Le Café St. Malo’s ambience is worth the visit alone.  Step back in time and warm yourself up in this St. Paul Street café, nestle in with stone walls, a wood stoked fire and wooden beamed ceilings which I am sure date back at least 200 years.  We started our lunch off with a delicious leek potage, followed by one of the best eggplant parmesans I have ever had.  This was only $10.95.  Of course, we had to accompany our meal with a bottle of house wine.  Anyone that I have ever sent to this little Québec City treasure, has been nothing but pleased.  The food is very good and reasonable.  The desserts are mediocre, but everything else puts a smile on your face.
